Bourbon Pecan Pie Recipe
Easy and delicious pecan pie recipe made with bourbon and browned butter.
Equipment Needed:
- 2 bowls
- Whisk
- 9 inch pie pan
Filling Ingredients:
5 - 7 oz roasted pecans
3 eggs (room temperature)
50g brown sugar
60g maple syrup
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp browned unsalted butter
Pinch of salt
3 tbsp bourbon
Steps:
- Pre-heat oven to 350°F / 175°C.
- Roast pecans in oven for 10-12 minutes. Once roasted set aside to cool.
- Brown unsalted butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Whisk browned butter, sugar, and maple syrup in a bowl.
- Whisk eggs, salt, vanilla extract in a separate bowl from sugar mixture.
- Pour egg mixture into sugar mixture bowl, add bourbon and whist until fully combined.
- Place cooled pecans on pie crust, then pour wet mixture into pie crust.
- Bake at 350°F / 175°C for 35 to 40 minutes.
