Chewy Granola Bars
These granola bars are easy to make. They have a chewy texture, refined sugar free and are perfect for breakfast or a midday snack.
Equipment Needed
- 8" baking pan
- Parchment paper
- Spatula
Dry Ingredients
- 250g rolled oats
- 130g slivered almonds
- 50g chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 1⁄4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 1⁄2 tsp ground ginger
- Pinch of kosher salt
Wet Ingredients
- 90g pumpkin puree
- 60g honey
- 113g applesauce (unsweetened) (use sweetened if you prefer)
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F / 177° C.
- Line baking dish with parchment paper.
- Place all dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Whisk pumpkin puree, spices, salt, honey, applesauce until fully combined in a separate bowl.
- Add wet ingredients into the dry mixture bowl and stir until fully coated.
- Place granola mixture into baking dish and pack tightly with spatula.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden.
- Cool completely before slicing.
Tip: Store granola in an airtight container.
