Chicken Broth

 



Equipment Needed

  • Pressure Cooker
  • Strainer


Ingredients
  • 1 chicken carcass
  • 3-4 chopped carrots
  • 1 roughly chopped onion
  • 1 halved garlic bulb
  • 3-4 celery stalks
  • 1 stalk lemon grass (sliced)
  • Thyme
  • Parsley
  • Black Peppercorns
  • Cold water
  • Bay Leaves
Steps:
  1. Place all ingredients except water in pressure cooker.
  2. Pour water into the pressure cooker, do not fill water past max line. Lastly, turn on instant pot and use broth setting. Set time to 1:20 minutes.
  3. Once cooking cycle is complete, carefully pressure release.
  4. Once chicken broth has cooled down, strain the broth. The broth can be seasoned once you are ready to use in soups or sauces.  
  5. Enjoy!
TIP: Chicken broth can freeze for up to 3 months.
