Chicken Broth
Equipment Needed
- Pressure Cooker
- Strainer
Ingredients
- 1 chicken carcass
- 3-4 chopped carrots
- 1 roughly chopped onion
- 1 halved garlic bulb
- 3-4 celery stalks
- 1 stalk lemon grass (sliced)
- Thyme
- Parsley
- Black Peppercorns
- Cold water
- Bay Leaves
Steps:
- Place all ingredients except water in pressure cooker.
- Pour water into the pressure cooker, do not fill water past max line. Lastly, turn on instant pot and use broth setting. Set time to 1:20 minutes.
- Once cooking cycle is complete, carefully pressure release.
- Once chicken broth has cooled down, strain the broth. The broth can be seasoned once you are ready to use in soups or sauces.
- Enjoy!
TIP: Chicken broth can freeze for up to 3 months.
